A
bride and groom who tend to all the details will surely have
a wedding program. The bride's and groom's names will act
as the title and are often followed by the date and location
of the ceremony. Also included are the order of service and
titles of readings and songs. The names of the parents, bridal
party and other special guests or helpers are usually listed
as well.
Your
program can be any style you choose, but should certainly
reflect the style of your ceremony and invitations. Programs
can be designed as booklets, folded cards or single sheets
of stiff stock. Sizes vary from postcard-size to letterhead-size.
On
the wedding day, ask special relatives or friends to hand
out the programs as they greet guests. Or assign the task
to your ushers. You could also place a program on each seat,
or stack then in a tray or basket near the entrance.
Be
sure to save a handful of programs as keepsakes. The program
is the written record of your wonderful wedding memories.
