Etiquette
requires that all wedding gifts be acknowledged. The way you
choose to thank your kind family and friends will create as
lasting an impression as your wedding ceremony itself. It
will also reflect on you as a couple.
Note
writing may be time consuming and sometimes expensive, but
it sets the tone of future relationships. And the sooner you
write the notes, the better.
To
uphold consistency, your thank you notes should mimic your
invitation paper, font and style. These can be purchased from
any invitation or printing company. Or feel free to select
a bulk-packaged thank you note style. You can purchase pre-printed
thank you notes at a variety of businesses.
To
avoid having to write all your thank you notes after the wedding
and honeymoon, start writing them as soon as you receive an
advance gift. You can mail the thank you early or postdate
the note and send it after the wedding day.
To
keep organized, use the same master list of names and addresses
that you used for the invitations.
Most
importantly, make each person feel that your home would not
be complete without the gift that person sent.
